Browsing the Botanical Gardens

There’s more to do in Atlanta than you could possibly imagine. Central Park offers ice skating in the wintertime, the new World of Coke is an experience that should be at the top of every Atlantan’s list, and the High Museum of Art constantly holds incredible exhibits, which are colorfully advertised on nearly every fifth billboard in the city. Needless to say, the range of activities offered is attractive and exhaustive.

This past summer, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens hosted an event to highlight the unveiling of the long-awaited Canopy Walk. The canopy offers a bird’s-eye view to one of the city’s last remaining urban forests from 40 feet in the air.

It was quite an experience! Inspired by nature, the ramp walk makes you feel like you’re actually in the forest, meeting with nature from a different perspective, rather than just observing it.

Not only was the scenery beautiful, of course, but with offerings of Hawaiian inspired food and contemporary music, the night was fulfilled by every one of my senses.

I highly recommend you visit the Atlanta Botanical gardens! It’s easy to get to, parking isn’t a hassle, and you can even get a private tour. Check out their Web Site (http://atlantabotanicalgarden.org/plan-your-visit/day-planner) to look up the calendar of events. They hold everything from chocolate to art exhibits, chef demos to Tai Chi classes.  Go ahead – experience Atlanta’s greenery!
